Basilisk: by Braendyn
I sometimes call him the Acquisitive Baslisk. This means this is a creature that is morphologically indistinct but over time builds its own physiology by emulating features, traits and structures, exhibited in other creatures.

In rebellion against the Pernese Firelizards I've been working on, I happened to make this Baslisk form, a critter that is an amalgamation of a broad spectrum of Terran creatures.

My name's Brandon, I've been lurking around on this site for awhile now. I don't have a ton of visual arts training as I instead opted to pursue performing arts. I attended the Gaiety School of Acting in Ireland, after four years of Under Graduate degree work at Northern Michigan University where I majored in Theatre and minored in English and Anthropology.

I'm left handed, and have always been able to kind of draw and paint and sculpt and so, now that I'm living in L.A. and kind of stalling on my acting career I want to use this space to hash out some ideas. I'd also like to get more exposure to different mediums as at some point I'd like to channel things toward film-making and animation.

I anticipate indulging in a fair amount of fandomonium for properties that I'm really obsessed with. Kinda hoping that venting stuff and turning out my pockets so to speak will allow the bits and pieces shake out and the process will be a little cathardic and generate some momentum in ways I don't fully anticiapte yet.

Non Canon Dragon Colors for Pern.

I know that Ruth is strictly speaking the only non-standard dragon color ever to have existed according to the creator. However, I also know that, fandoms regularly mix in a slew of non standard dragon colors. Personally I'm totally fine with this. (not that anyone needs or has sought my approval).

To me though, it's fun to obey the rules or guidelines (at least a little) so for devising non-standard colors I've always kept in mind that Anne has stated multiple times that when she was figuring out the colors she just did G for girls and B for boys.

Thus we get Gold and Green for the females and Bronze, Brown and Blue for the males.

In keeping with that idea I would put forward non-standard colors in this way.

Additional Female Dragon Colors

Garnet/Gules-(both shades of red)
Grulla could also's really pretty on horses.

Are you kidding me? You have great stuff, but your Pern pieces were what drew me to your gallery.

Well I haven't done anything Pern related since 2011.

Though I draw dragons, I never draw the Pern dragons because I like dragons with scales, armor, frills, horns, manes or beards.
